Jean-Bosco Benewindé Zoungrana is back from Burkina Faso for a second research internship at our department. After the very successful first stay, where he was able to finalize his first paper the aim of this stay is to reinforce skills in land use/cover classification and vegetation persistence modelling with Random Forest and its implementation in R, and to write the PhD thesis. Within the three months stay, he will prepare two papers, one upon land use/cover change and a second emphasizing on the persistence of the trend of vegetation dynamics in the south west of Burkina Faso. A part from the academic staff, he also plan to take advantage of this stay to continue learning German and discover further the country. He will be leaving Germany by 30th of May.
